You'll 'rarely' find a truck in Pakistan, but you sure will find 'mobile art' here!

These pictures look normal to anyone unfamiliar with Pakistani ‘Truck Art Culture’.

Traditionally ‘decorated’ Pakistani truck may look awesome (mobile) piece of art. However it is more than ‘art’ which isn't good for many reasons. Most of the tractor trailers, flatbed and dump trucks on Pakistani roads are heavily ‘decorated’ which increases the vehicle’s body weight, blind spots and poor, bulky body design badly affects trucks’ aerodynamics.

In general, ‘unique’ and ‘well-decorated’ Pakistani trucks are built in a way where the fuel economy, cargo efficiency and road safety are highly compromised. One of the primary reasons behind this practice is illiteracy. The other main factor includes lack of good road safety law enforcement due to corruption and mismanagement issues in enforcement agencies in Pakistan.

But some of these ‘rare’ trucks are also found on our roads. Good business groups including cargo, construction and supply chain companies run ‘unusual’ but good trucks aim to be lightweight, less expensive, fuel efficient and safe! I spent few hours on highways to spot and shoot Some Good Trucks in Pakistan :)
